On Saturday morning, we go to swimming lessons at 9am with Miss Amy and Talia. Pacey was really excited about putting on her bathing suit. When we got to the pool there was a swarm of mothers and fathers and sisters and brothers and all sorts of chaos - drove me nuts! Once we got settled, we went to the kiddie pool and practiced blowing bubbles (not a fan), front crawl (tolerated it), back stroke (really not a fan), jumping in from the side (LOVED it), and going down the slide (really, REALLY not a fan). We sang songs and did some spinning (mommy was not a fan of the singing but a good sport, and we both loved the spinning). Everything was going just ducky until the dunk. Yes, you bet, I said it, I did it - THE DUNK. We blew on our baby's faces and dunked them into the water and pulled them right back up. Pacey looked shocked, but the best part was when she came up from the water she said "Uh oh" - which was funny, but the kid was NOT impressed. She clung to me and we opted out of the 30 second free play. No exaggeration, our instructor said "Ok so there is about 30 seconds left in the class if you want to have a little free time with your children." I now understand when the kids at school feel I am "cheeping them out" of their free time!
