Poor Saedi and Cosby - there perfect little lives have been tossed and turned and adjusted and readjusted since we brought Pacey home from the hospital. They get scolded for snorting too loudly, moved off chairs, and told to "drop toys." They find quiet little spots for a rest and have to scarf their food down before Pacey can get to it. She drinks from their water, plays with their toys and torments them as often as she can. Saedi is sooooo patient. She will growl and roll on her side, and Pacey just keeps pounding on her and hugging her and kissing her - see it all comes from a good place, she's not a mean little girl! Cosby though - well, he has pretty much hit the wall. He can't stand to be near her and tries to sneak her toys and chew them up. He bumps into her and walks over her - He's had quite enough. See below for photographic proof ...
Maybe if we just stick together we can make it through!!!
We woke up excited for Game Day! There was NO way our team could lose. It was pretty much a guaranteed win in the bag. Everyone got in their game day gear - daddy, Cos and me in a jersey, mommy in her hoodie and Saedi in her Bronco bling shirt. We were ready to do some serious game day cheers and dances. Sigh. We were a little too cocky and according to daddy, the refs were a little too terrible. Our team didn't play there best and our hearts were a little broken, our egos a little deflated. Maybe next year, maybe Knowshon won't get hurt, who knows...
Even when we are sick, Peppa Pig still manages to make our day better - or bettah as Peppa would say. P-rae loves this wonderful hug and snort Peppa and says "Thank you Auntie Lyn!!!" Jason's sister Lyn bought Pacey this Peppa Pig for Christmas from Denver and she absolutely adores it - it's pretty much her favourite and best ever!!!
Jason loves his little girl. She is certainly the apple of his life. One day I will record him when he gives her her nightly bath. i think it will be invaluable in the years to come. He speaks to her with such love and adoration, he marvels at her tiniest of accomplishments and "Honestly, Rob, I just can't believe how cute this baby is. I feel sorry for the other babies. P is one cute baby, you have to admit it." I can tell you one thing about my daughter's father ... He is not a liar!
When Jason heard how sick Pacey was, he went directly to Toys R Us and the mall and brought her home a loot bag of feel better soon treats. I hope he realizes he is setting a pretty high bar and she is going to be "sick" a lot when she is around 13!
Pacey-rae had a wee bit of a cough in early January. I wasn't really concerned because it didn't sound that bad and she was still playing and smiling and laughing - there were no behaviour changes at all. Then the cough turned into some congestion, so I decided to take her to the doctor. I should have listened to my sister in law who mentioned that it might be an ear infection. I really should have, but Pacey was not pulling at her ears, nor was she whining or crying. Anyhow the doctor checked her congestion out and concluded she had pneumonia and then wanted to check her ears. Again, I repeated how she wasn't pulling on them and they weren't bothering her. Well, my goodness, I have never felt worse. One look in both ears and the doctor said one word - which is really not the word you want to hear ..."wow." Apparently both of her ears were so badly infected that she was not hearing much of anything. They were "fire engine red and beefy and full of pus". Sigh... worst mother ever.
Yikes! What happened to my blogging skills? I was so good at keeping up with it - well maybe not the picture part! I have a ton of blog entries saved in the drafts that are near to ready to publish, I have a stack of letters I need to type out, and holy doodle - I haven't posted pics of P since September - are you kidding me? Where were we? Where did the time go?
The only excuse I have is that my mat time with my little mouse was dwindling and I was certainly feeling the pinch - I wanted to spend as much time as I could with her. I am ready to catch up now with my pictures and blogs and letters and I hope you are patient and someone still reads this!
One last Polo Park walk with Miss Amy and Talia before Miss Amy returned to work. I will miss them very much!!!
This is a picture of me just getting into some of my Christmas gifts at the beginning of December.
Some kids pick toys from their baskets - I crawl into my baskets with the toys.
A last shopping trip to the Forks before Christmas. Lots of pretty decorations and tons of Christmas spirit.
Can't wait to strap on a pair of skates of my own!!!
