Now that Pacey-rae is older - we are much more busy. Our "busy" is beginning to be dictated by her likes and her needs. She is such an active little girl. She loves being outside, she loves being around other kids, she loves challenging herself and learning new things. She is fun, exciting, crazy, hilarious, and by the end of the day ... she's exhausting. Through it all though, she really is one special little girl whose love for new experiences is never-ending.
Evening walks with the Dogs and Daddy ...

If weather permits, we try to get out for a family walk every evening. Pacey loves sitting in her stroller and gets a real kick out of watching the dogs. She gets super excited to see another dog on the walk and will squeal "PUPPY!" This frustrates Jason because Cosby and Saedi go bonkers and act like wild animals when they see other dogs. He will tell them "Down." Lucky for him, Pacey has started telling them "Down" now too, so hopefully that will cut down on the craziness of the Westergard walk.
Gymnastics

Once a week Pacey goes to gynmastics at My Gym. It is such a great program and the staff really do know the abilities of children and keep their interest for the entire hour long lesson. They start with the greeting song, do some body warm ups - stretching and moving to loosen muscles, and then they go into the assisted skill of the day, which is anything from handstands, to walk overs, to forward and backward rolls. It is amazing how these little ones can naturally perform these skills with a little guidance. After the assisted skill they do a dance and then the kids get some explore time in the gym. During explore time, the staff sets up two different practice skill stations in the gym - hanging, climbing, jumping, balancing, and others. They try the skill station once and then they continue with their exploring around the gym. Once the skill stations have been tried by everyone, they start preparing the "Big Adventure" which is some outrageous activity they set up - a maze with mats for the kids to go through, parachute fun, and my favourite - the roller coaster!!! Then they do the "Big Deal of the Day" which is a swing they hang from the roof - but not just any swing - they hook up rocking horses, racing cars, big mats, anything that can be made into a makeshift giant swing - they do it! It is crazy and fun, right up my girl's alley. She loves the swing time! After the big deal of the day, it's time for separation time. The staff get out some musical instruments, building toys, puppets, or books. Parents move to the lobby for about 5-10 minutes while the little ones play. They are very good at redirecting the kids when they try to find their parents. Clean up time is probably the most challenging for Pacey - she takes out what the other kids put away. We are working on it! Then they do a quick little puppet show and they sing the Bye Bye song - when P starts working her bye bye hands. It's a great program and we are so happy to be part of it!
My Many Trips to Polo Park Mall
![Picture](/uploads/1/2/1/6/12164046/9460645.jpg?179)
I was updating this site and thought to myself as I hovered over the "x" button on here - "who are you kidding?" Our trips to Polo Park have not stopped! We go quite often and Pacey has turned into a shopper with her own tastes. She likes to face outward in her stroller and look around. She waves and says hello and blows kisses as we walk through the mall. She likes to kick her feet up and enjoy a snack while we shop. She loves going in the elevator and looking down at all the scenery. Because of her friendly nature, she gets a lot of attention from people in the mall, I don't know where she gets that social butterfly from, but something tells me it has to do with her Gramma Linda genes!
Evening Hang outs at the park...
Lucky for us, we live so close to the park. We try to get there in the early evening to play on the slides and swings. Pacey loves free wheeling it with so much running space and she is very keen and interested in meeting other kids. She loves climbing on things and picking up garbage and throwing it out (ewww). She likes to run in the grass and her favourite thing to do in the park is to play chase. She thinks it's hilarious ... for the record ... I don't.
Peppa Time with Daddy
![Picture](/uploads/1/2/1/6/12164046/8370061.jpg?194)
Daddy and Pacey can often be caught just before bedtime snuggling up for a little Peppa time. Pacey-rae just LOVES Peppa Pig! It is so interesting to me that she first showed an interest in this cheeky little piggy from across the pond at the ripe age of 4 months and it has maintained her interest. She knows when she is wearing clothes with Peppa on it and gets real excited. Whenever Jason picks up his iPad, she goes running to their spot saying "Peppa, peppa, peppa." Daddy can't say no - so I am pretty sure he has seen every Peppa episode (or peppisode as he says) at least 5 times. Between you and I, I think he likes it just as much!
Toys, Games, Toys, and More!!!
![Picture](/uploads/1/2/1/6/12164046/6717975.jpg?194)
Pacey is very good at entertaining herself with the many toys she has accumulated in her short life so far. She loves to dump out the little hand held toys and put them back in the bucket only to dump them shortly after. She likes to make the toys kiss and tries to get them to suck on her pip. She is beginning to make them talk to each other and she loves when I make them talk to her. I will be honest - our home is not nearly as clean as it used to be because we love playing with her! Pacey also loves playing with the dogs - even though they rarely know they are playing with her! It always amazes me the little games that she comes up with and the conversations she has with the dogs. It also amazes me just how patient they are with her!
Talking on the phone with "Bampa"
![Picture](/uploads/1/2/1/6/12164046/4718184.jpg)
Pacey calls my dad Bampa. At least once a day, if not 800 times, she will bring my cell phone or our cordless to me and say "Bampa?" Since she was really little, my dad has talked with her on the phone - it's great. She used to just coo and gaa and he would just repeat those sounds to her, but now she is saying words and they have little conversations and she is always kissing the phone when they are talking. She just loves Bampa and Bampa is pretty crazy about her too! In fact, I attribute a lot of her vocabulary to how my dad interacts with her. He taught her to say "thank you" and "hello" and "night night" and "cookie" - really what more do you need?
Still Hangin' with my Buds!
I have so many friends now! I have met friends at gymnastics and swimming and also through mommy. My very best buds are still Nixon, Bentley, and Talia. My new friends are Rain, Sophia, Ryan, Noah, Liam, Kaden, Kowen, and Peyton. I am SO lucky because I get to see Nixy more often now that he moved 3 minutes from our house!!!! I can hardly believe it! Thank goodness for summer when our mommies can get us out walking and kicking it up!
Wednesday, Thursday, and Fridays with Marni and the Boys
When mommy goes to work on Mondays, I get to go to Bampa's house. On Tuesdays, Grumpa comes to see me. But on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, I am so lucky! I get to spend the day with Marni and her boys. We go for walks, we make cupcakes and cookies, we play hockey, we play in Marni's backyard, and sometimes we do crafts. It is so much fun. Marni is pretty much golden, I would do anything for her. I always eat my lunch, I don't whine, and I share the toys with her. She is a pretty special lady and I am glad my mommy and her are friends.
